Stages of Search Engine optimization
Keyword Analysis
Keyword Analysis is where we agree keywords or key phrases to be optimized for with. A tracker is sent out to analyse how many times your keywords are searched for along with using a thesaurus to help suggest the highest searched for keywords in your industry.
Code development
Code development includes a lot of things. First the page is analysed by our coders and then an agreed plan of action is drawn up. This agreed form of action can include a number of the following steps:
Advanced CSS layout techniques
CSS layout techniques involve replacing frames and/or tables with CSS divisional layers. This can allow us to keep the page as your visitors use it now, however change the code behind it to be more search engine friendly.
CSS page development
CSS page development involves CSS using CSS to replace depreciated code and bring your website up to w3c standards.
JavaScript coding
SEO Insite likes to take your JavaScript that is embedded on your page onto an external file. This has no effect to the way your JavaScript works, however as the search engine spiders do not read JavaScript this simply cuts down on the number of lines and amount of code the spider has to get through to get to your content.
Correct head tags
There are lots of different meta tags that can be placed within your head tag. In SEO Insite's view there are only four that count. Each of these only accept so many characters. On the whole, when a website is designed, others generally cram as much into the head as possible. This can be counted as unethical search engine optimization. In the head tags, less is more.
Keyword Development
Keyword development links directly to keyword analysis. This is using the agreed keywords from your keyword analysis in two ways:
Meta tags
Mentioned above, keywords are placed into the meta tags as if you are giving the document a name. This is using your keywords chosen for that page as not to mislead the visitor or search engine spider as to what the content on the page is about.
Keyword Rich Content
Your content on the page is analysed and keywords are subliminally set within the content. This keyword rich content will make sense to both your visitors in the way of understanding the content and the search engine spiders in the way of understanding what keywords you are relevant for.
Link Popularity
Link popularity is gaining reciprocal links from a similar themed site. This can pass relevance for your keywords but also give the search engine spiders more of a chance to find your site.
The above listed stages are not always used. Every website is different and therefore no set rules can be applied. To find out which stages will be required for your site, contact SEO Insite on 0870 759 3671.
